Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for your welcome when we visited your establishment on Sunday, 30th July with my husband's Aunt for her 80th birthday lunch. We enjoyed the wonderful meal, beautifully presented by smiling staff (they smiled all the time). The service was excellent and made our visit absolutely fantastic. We have been in places where service has been good, but yours was more than the 100%. Wish more establishments had staff alert to their customers (with the smiles) and the art of making sure everyone has what they want and the alertness and anticipation of customers needs. Having been in the catering trade for 34 years, with fully certified qualifications, been a waitress as a teenager, a cook and served the public as management for small and large catering companies, it was absolutely brilliant to come to your hostelry to find, that what I had practised for so long to enable my customers to enjoy their experiences under my auspices, was being carried out today. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, thank you.

One of the best things you will find about your stay here with us at the Fox and Hounds is the food; we are famed for it. As the winners of ‘Pub of the Year’ in 2004, we have a reputation to maintain and a proud tradition to keep. The judges had this to say about us:

We use only the freshest ingredients that are sourced, wherever possible, from local producers, like our Welsh Black Beef, Welsh Lamb, farmhouse produced cheese and fish from up and down the Welsh coastline. Our menu offers a varied choice of delights for the taste buds from the starter through to desert.
As a guest you will also enjoy a hearty and satisfying breakfast in our dining room and can choose to take an evening meal here too. Alternatively, for lunch or dinner, you can join us in the restaurant. Some of our most popular dishes include pan fried calves’ liver with caramelized red onion, red wine gravy and garlic mash, as well as deep fried cod in a light beer batter.
The Fox and Hounds offers eight en-suite bedrooms, all with television, DVD, beverage facilities, hairdryer and toiletries. We have made sure that all our rooms offer exceptional comfort and beautiful finishing touches. |
